Obviously the drivers side is in terrible condition. Anyone seen it this bad before?

If its not too hard to replace I might go ahead and do it, even though I dont see any immediate danger in leaving it the way it is.

Those are your door weatherstrips. They have a large chuck of rubber at the top to seal the door, front and rear. Not a hard thing to replace at all. you pop the old ones off, clean up any adhesive used to hold them on, and the new pops in the holes behind the stripping with little clips (they come on the new weatherstripping) Then just use a little adhesive on the spots where it doesn't want to sit flush.

You could go to hawks, 1aauto, yearone, etc, or any GM dealer. GM weatherstrip is fairly high priced but the quality in unbeaten. I used 1aauto for my door strips. Went GM for the T-top.

My door stripping looks just like that, maybe even worse . I'm thinking about getting 1aauto's strips cuz they have the pair for cheap. Abird4u2nv1: how are those 1aauto strips holding up, do you recommend it?

Door i got from the junkyard yesterday had weather stripping worse. There was actually electrical tape and another type of black tape all over that area, i guess in a sad attempt to repair it. I got new weather stripping from GM parts direct for $220 for both sides including shipping. I think they were $92 each or so.
