IROC Steering Wheel
IROC Steering Wheel
I have a steering wheel that I got from my dad. I'd think that he got in during the mid to late 80's when he was working as the speed parts manager at a local parts store.
It's a three spoke, black wheel with a thick wheel. On the center of the wheel it has engraved into the metal "IROC Special Edition". Does anybody know anything about this wheel? I was told that it may have been off of one of the actual IROC race cars, but I have not been able to verify this.
Any help would be appreciated.
TIA

I think its hard to say really where it came from. I guess its possible it could have come from an iroc race car, but theres more than one iroc so even then how would you know what kind of car it came from??
What do you mean that there was more than one IROC? I thought that there was only one International Race of Champions. As for production cars, I only remember the IROC Camaro. Was there an IROC Daytona? I'm pretty sure they never produced an IROC T/A. I was just curious if this could have come from a production IROC Camaro, and figured that somebody on this board might know.

There was only one Internation Race of Champions but the camaro wasnt the only iroc made. Chrysler had their Daytona Iroc in production sometime after IROC dumped chevy around 1990 or chevy dumped them whatever it was.

The very last of the International race of champions cars were actually firebirds in the mid to late 90's
not that that does you any good with the wheel problem but my best guess is that it is a custom job
