Hood louver spot in RS hood ..can they be cut to fit?

Engine: 355 chevy power
Transmission: 5 speed manual
Axle/Gears: standard
Hood louver spot in RS hood ..can they be cut to fit?
Has anybody tried to cut out that area and put lovers in there. the spot for them is on the hood. just wondering if anybody has done this.

The spot isn't in the hood. The under side of the hood is the same, but the top skin is different. the original Z28/IROC-Z hood is molded where the louvers go. There is a lip then it recesses. If you just cut it out, you'll be buying a new hood!!!
