Should i buy this?
I have a 1987 SC w/ a 2.8 in it. 136000 miles on it. A friend of mine has a 1987 Iroc with one bent rim and a little rust on the quarters (looks to be surface and i would be planning on sanding the whole car down and painting it this summer). It also has T-tops that do NOT leak and all new weather stripping for them already installed. It has a freshly rebuilt 700r4. He ripped the 305 out and has a 400 in it. I would either build up the 400 or build another engine for it. Other than that little surface rust (which is basically the paint bubbling up some), the body is perfect, has an aftermarket 3" cowl on it and a perfect interior. He will give it to me for about $1500. Should i buy it and sell off my SC? I can prolly get at least $800 for my SC. All i need to do right now is get the loan for the Iroc. Would this be a good damn deal or should i look around some more.

especially with a 400 in it. Dont forget that your insurance rates will go up possibly a lot. The IROC is the most expensive car to insure in the Camaro family. My guess is that the 700r4 is rebuilt cuz it couldnt handle the 400 power. But at least its been done for you. Thats a plus. Member

no you shouldn't buy it, in fact you should just have him drop it off at my house and i will make sure it is taken care of.
