Stupid Q, cant get hood open =(
ok, im an idiot, and cant get my hood to open, 89 irocz camaro....I used to be able to use hood release and it would pop up a little then i could grab it where headlights are and pull up a bit, then get the center latch....now, It barely lifts at all when I hit hood release, then wont go any higher, I've tried pushing really hard all over center/center sides of hood, maybe I'm hitting wrong spots?
Any help GREATLY appreciated...I really need to get the hood up before I can do much..

We just covered this on gen tech. Search will bring it up. Pop the hood in the corner near the driver's door, about where the back of the hinge is, or right above the latch. Hood should pop up. See the other thread for more info.

Have you tried slamming the passenger door?
Seriously, it works. Pull the hood release, get out, walk around, and open and shut the passenger door. I read about that on here and was like "What?? No way..." until I tried it.
And rather than replace the spring, try WD-40'ing the hell out of it first. That's what I did, and it's worked fine since then. If that doens't work, then start replacing stuff.
