GFX's
Hey guys im thinking about buying some 91-92 GFX's (Side rockers and front bumber) Will they hook right up to my 88 IROC-z? And will my IROC-Z emblems fit the RS emblem?
Also, is $200 +$45 shipping good/bad for rockers and front bumber?

from what i understand they should just bolt right up although some people have said you have to drill holes for the mounting tabs, but im not sure
i would also like to know this because im planning on doing the same to my 84 f41

I know that about everyone loves the look of the 91-92 ground effects so im sure if you do a search you should be able to find a lot of topics on them... but from what Ive heard you need to drill the holes but it doesnt sound to hard.

I just did this exact swap a few weeks ago.
As for the bolt holes, the door parts were ALMOST a direct swap, had to enlarge them.
The rear bumper was a direct swap so no difference there.
The rear 1/4 parts needed to be drilled in different spots.
The sideskirts mounted with completely new holes, none of the old ones worked. (edit: The screws along the top and bottom worked fine, just not the actual bolts that go thru the body)
FYI - The 82-90 GFX sideskirts are attached in the front under the emblems with 2 screws. The 91-92 are held in with two bolts, not screws.

I would say the hardest part is sanding them for paint. I used a pistol-grip type d/a to take mine down to the plastic. If yours are cracked or damaged have a look at my website for repairing them. If you find a nice set there's no reason you can't just scuff the finish with a scotch-brite pad to prep them for paint.
