Lighting Gauge Cluster...
I installed overlays today, but somehow installed them so the light will not shine through at night.
I need to custom fab a ligting idea and need some help.
What I am thinking is install some sort of LED or Neon Red light inside the gauge casing, between the plexiglass and the actual guages, and wire it to the interior lights so that when the interior lights go on, the neon turns on and illuminates the white gauges red by shining the neon light on the actual faces of the guages and I can see them at night while driving.
Does this sound plausible? Is it even possible? How would I even go about doing this? I am new to elctronics so I dont really know how to go about getting this project done. I brainstormed but now need some help from all you technical guys. I would REALLY appreciate any help I can get or any alternate suggestions. Thanks in advance.

im w/ 87, re-do the overlays, get the lights shining through the way they're supposed to, and you'll be happier in the long run that you got ur lighting working how it's supposed to work.
