Where to find colored side molding?

Where can I find the body colored side molding for the 87 Camaros? Mine has been replaced with black auto zone specials and I want the factory body colored ones back on

Classic Industries out of California still sells the factory moldings. These come already painted in original colors from GM,but they're not cheap.About $40. for each door and $25 each for fender and quarter strips. Chris

It's a hassle finding originals, and GM wants around $200, it's crazy. When I first got my '87, the side moldings were missing, so I went through the process and found two sets on eBay. Both were grey and blue, so I used one set and painted it PPG white. When installing make sure to use 3M molding tape, it's the only adhesive that is 100% sure to work, get the thin, rather than the thick stuff. Oh, still have the other molding set, you can have it for $50, send me a PM. It comes rolled and requires taping to a flat surface and gentle heat from a hair dryer to flatten. Anyway, let me know if you want it.

The problem is finding a good set on a car that has damaged doors and fenders.. Most the yards I've been to won't sell them if they can sell the fender/door..

Dealership

In my case I needed white, the door pieces were available, but the fender/qtr pieces were discontinued. Since they were just cut from longer strips, I just ordered a third door section. I should be able to cut all 4 shorter pieces from the single door section.

BTW two strips came in long cardboard tubes, the third came rolled up in a box.

Go to your local auto-body supply house and ask for Prostripe kit # M941202. This is an exact replacement for 3rd gen cars and comes with the spears. It attaches just like the factory pieces but must be painted if you want something other than gloss black. It sells for about $43.00...

Just a note, the factory ones, like I have on my Formulas are solid color, they are not painted....
