Front bumper cover

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula 350
Engine: 350 TPI
Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: 9 Bolt Borg Warner 3.27 gears
Front bumper cover

I want to get the car painted and I am going to install a new front bumper cover.Has anyone put one on or any advice as to how hard it is?Going on a 91 RS.

there are a bunch of little plastic plugs you have to pull out on the top of the bumpter cover, some of the bolts are a bit hard to get to as they are connected to the fender near the battery tray and same place on opposite side, also just undo the rocker panel from the fender. it should then just pull off i think. may have missed something though.

Not Hard

Not hard at all just really time consuming, theres a bunch of little bolts 10mm I believe then theres the push rods that are some what hard at first but once you get the hang of it, what I did was get a pair of plyers(sp) and pull the center rod out and then twist either way and it should just come right out, also the hardest bolt to get to is the one that connects the Fender and the Bumper it's on the top of each fender and is easiest if you just remove the light bar.

to get those plastic push rod/pins get a panel popper tool it looks like a 2 prong fork. if you push it on the right way onto those pins it will slide on and you can pry them right out. but most of the third gens are nasty and corroded, drill them out maybe?
