They are both the same shape and have the same connecting pins and latching mechanism.

as far as i know all 82-92 t-tops work, as long as they r pin or hook (whatever your car is) i'd like to know where i can get a pair of lexan (plastic) T-tops. e bay...i don't think half those people know what they r selling. one guy sed his T-tops were good for cutlass f-bodies and ragals... LOL o well
will firebird t-tops fit on camaros?

Just be aware that there are 2 sizes of pin type latching as well, so that means there are actually 3 different versions of t-tops..... not counting glass vs. lexan.

The latch type have a hook that locks into the body. The two pin type latches have different diameter pins. Just measure yours (if they're pin type) and make sure the new set is the same diameter.

Yeah I forgot to mention that. Didn't the pins change in 1985?Originally posted by vernw

Actually, the pins are the exact same size, it's just that the newer style have a spring loaded plastic "outer" sheath around the pin that acts as alignment assistance, so ANY pin type t-top will work, they will just need to be aligned.

You may have a Hurst/Cars & Concepts aftermarket T-top roof. Do you have a molding (like door edge molding) around the perimeter of the roof opening?Originally posted by KEVIN G.

Hrmmm I think I have hooks and not pins. And I thought mine was factory...
I think we need clarifying pictures of the different types of t-tops

No, mine are original, glass all the way to the edge. You may have a Hurst/Cars & Concepts aftermarket T-top roof. Do you have a molding (like door edge molding) around the perimeter of the roof opening?
I've seen some that are hooks (seemed to be pre-86.) Mine didn't even have locks.

The molding I referred to would be on the body edge where it met the T-top opening, not the glass panels themselves. The edge above your door glass, is it 2" wide or 4"?Originally posted by KEVIN G.
