swapping gauges?

im curious if its possible to swap my 89 camaro RS dash cluster with any camaro 90-92.

i really love the older pod style gauges, but if i end up buying a late age 3rd gen, i would really want to swap the guages to keep the pod look.

I'm in the process of swapping my '91 interior into my '84 and when I asked this question the other day I was told to do a search.

Certainly possible, as long as the rest of the dash (and minor rewiring) goes with it. Should you choose, you'd need to get a speedo cable and appropriate parts for the trans. as the VSS would have to be ditched for the cable driven. older style speedo (or leave the VSS and have no speedo).

thanks. i understand i would more then liekly swapping in my t5 from my 89 camaro as well, so it would stay cable driven.

is the gauge cluster itself through all years the same bolt pattern? and once i got it bolted up, is it just a matter of splicing wires and hooking it all up?

im having a hell of a time finding any pics online.

The cluster, dash, whole 9yds got a facelift in '90. That was the switch to the elc speedometer and the 'half moon' gauges.
You'd have to be pretty dedicated to the 82-89 style cluster to try and swap in place of the 90-92 (just to make it fit).
