spray gun - por15 update

Well, I posted earlier about using spray guns with the "famous" por15 rust protective paint. So, I purchased a $25 spray gun on ebay.(Wanted it cheap because i didn't know if the paint would ruin it.) As those of you who have worked with this product, you understand how quick and finite this application dries.(wow, that statement made me sound smart. ) Anyway, i filled up the canister on the gun(gravity feed type) and started spraying! This stuff works great! (btw, i'm abbrevation illiterate, what does mpa's translate into cfm's? It says recommened at .3-.5 mpa and my compressor's pressure regulation guage is marked in cfm's. -ty) So, I cleaned out the gun with turpentine, a toothbrush, and some compressed air. I got it 99% clean. So, what I'm trying to say is that, POR15 WILL NOT HARM YOUR EXPENSIVE SPRAY GUNS IF YOU CLEAN THEM OUT THOROUGHLY. I will be using the spray gun again tomorrow(undercaoting entire car) and let all know if it goes as smooth as today and as well as if my previous speach-like statement holds to be truthfull.

I'd be sure to use a respirator when spraying that stuff. I think it would definitely suck to get POR-15 in your lungs! Post some pics when you're done.

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
My first thought was, "I hope you cleaned it well!"
Anyhow, the .3 mpa (megapascals) equals 300 kpa (kilopascals) which equals roughly 45 psi (pounds-force/square inch). 500kpa equals just under 73 psi. Dunno how cfm works into it

Yes, I did use a respirator . When I said cfm's, I guess it was because it was late last night and after 11hr's of work(landscaping), i wasn't thinking straight . I guess I was thinking of the guages on my mig welder for the argon... What I meant to say is "psi." So thank you Petes 84Z28.

Did you have to buy their thinner stuff to be able to use the paint in the gun?
