power window adjustment.

Can anyone offer some advise on adjusting my windows. I have read the tech article, used a shop manual and performed a search on the topic.
I already tried it once. I spent about 3 hours (after removing the door panel) adjusting and readjusting and when I gave up I was back where I started.
My passenger side window will not go all the way up with the door closed. I have to open the door in order for the front to go up the last 1/4." Both doors look like they are angled in too far at the top. I would like to correct both of these issues.
When I was adjusting I would get one adjustment right. Then another would be off. After I made the second adjustment the original adjustment was off again - right back where I started. After 3 hours of this I called it quits.
