my temp paint booth

here is some pics of my outside paint booth i set up today. Once the rain finally stopped didn;t know if i would ever get it done.
So i started with a portable garage 20x 8 9 feet tall in center. It came with sides but i didn;t use them since i want the light to come in. So home depot plastic on the sides and one end got treated with it. Then on the other end i got this filter materal from work that was like 4' tall and as long as i wanted it. So i took about 9' of it and 3 sections. That went on the end of the booth for my exhaust. To hold the edges together i took some wire for outlets i had and stiched the overlap together. For intake air i have a hepa air filtered machine that blows 12000 cfm piped in with 18" duct at the top of the other end taped in the plastic. It is balanced very good since when i put the fan on it did not puff out the plastic and it felt like great air movement in the tent/garage.

So here is a couple pics painting in the morning tomorrow....

here is the end view from the inside, the filter material is tacky to touch so it should be blue in a few minutes of painting.

here is one with the car in it so you can see the room. in the morning i will pull the side out some and block them in place for my saw horses to come in for the spoiler painting ect.

you can see the duct where my fresh air comes in. any type of small airhandler or exhaust fan would do the same.

kinda dark pictures but looks very nice man can tell you worked hard on it. I couldnt tell by the pic, does it just have grass in the inside, or are you using another tarp, or what? I cant remember if you even have wheels on your car haha.

I'm guessing your going to push your car in there? That is going to be a PITA!!! You'll have to clean off your car AGAIN when you get it in there from the hands that pushed your car in there... oooh the headache.

I simply cannot wait to see the end product man, I'm probably just as anxious as you are hahah

booth is set on my black top driveway.

yep pushed car in next is a complete wipe down i would do it anyway. i always wipe more than once to be sure nothing is left behind.

wait till i;m done now i have to paint the garage floor since it is a mess all kinds of paint n junk stuck to the concrete and i'll have to seal the drive cause that will be a mess tomorrow

oh well it should be worth it in the end. the last pic is late now dark out...that is why the pic is dark no sun today either. it should be brite tomorrow in it when the sun is up. hope it does not turn into a green house.

I am so stoked to be painting finally seems like forever......
