Rust!!!

When I got my T/A the interior needed a real hard scrub. The outside was in surprisingly good shape for sitting two yrs, but now the minor rust spots and bubbles are growing. What low cost solution do you recommend?

The proper way would be to sandblast, and fill the spots and paint the car... but you said "low cost" so...

Couple years ago my V6 Firebird started getting some nasty looking spots on it... didn't have access to a sandblaster so I took a grinder with a wire wheel to the rust spots and cleaned them up. Smoothed them out with a little bondo, primered it, and just used a near match paint from a spray can. You really gotta build up the paint from a spray with several coats so you can get it to shine a little... then I used some polish to try to blend the spray can paint into the stock paint. My car didn't look perfect, but it held up ok for a couple years...
