Anyone build a homemade paint booth

I was wondering if anyone has built a paint booth in their garage or whatever and how you did it. Ive got a detached garage and have been thinking about how to make a paint booth in it with venting, but i dont really have a good idea of how to start. i was thinking pvc and heavy plastic and some good exhaust fans. i only plan on using it 2 maybe 3 times a year. any suggestions

I made a booth in my shop in my basement, just some plastic drop cloths hung from the ceiling with weights on the bottom, squarish, aprox 5 feet by 5feet maybe. I removed an old window and put in an exhaust fan with filters behind it. For the filters I use just regular heater filters available at home depot cheap. Be sure to filter the air leaving, or you'll end up with paint all over the place. For my purposes, it has worked really good with all the parts I have painted. Its a good idea if you want to paint a good amount of parts and dont want to paint outside all the time. If i find some time ill post a pic.

Don't forget to filter the incoming air as well, you won't want dirt in the paintjob...

make a frame for the booth, pvc pipe wood whatever, whatever size you want, the biggest you can do in the garage i suggest, plastic sheeting and seal it to the frame use glue if you have to, it should be air tight as it can be or as you can make it, get about 4 good size fans, teh biggr the better, face them to pull air out of the booth on one end and jus install some filters on teh opposite end to filter the incoming air, ofcourse you have to have a way of gettin in so desigh a door fram and again, air tight, air entering one side and leaving the other....thats it....just like my booth at work...same concept at least.....

filter air in filter air out wet floor, good door that was my down fall , and hairspray the plastic walls helps with dust control as stuff sticks to it.
