front fenders and nose differences?
Hey! I have a couple a basic questions, and advanced apologies if this was already asked. What exactly is different about the front fenders of a 87 Z-28 compared to a 92,?,, do they come down lower to the ground or have a sharper angle? Same thing with the nose,(not ground effects) is their a difference between the front facias of 87 compared to 91or92? Any input would be most appreciated!!! p.s. a pic or two of the difference would be a nice touch too and how hard it is to swap/modify, if possible
Thanks fellow Third Geners...

i'm mostly sure everything is the same... save for the gfx, which you excluded. the only things that might differ are the holes for mounting the gfx.

The difference between the fenders is where the GFX attach to them. The front nose and light bar will bolt up to either fender with no problems. Now the 91-92 fenders will have slots in the bottom part of the fender where the front chin spoiler attaches, on the 85-90 fender has 3 holes for the spolier to attach to.
I believe that the rocker panel mounts the same, the hole location's could be slightly off though. I'm not to sure on that. There should be two small holes where you put two screws through the gfx that go into the fender.
Depending on which set of GFX you have its easier to get the same year fenders if you dont want to modify them to work with the set you have.
Its pretty easy to modify the fenders, you will either have to elongate holes to make them into slots or tweak the slots for the gfx studs to allow them to properly go through the fender so you can bolt them down from the other side. You "may" have to re drill the rocker panel holes but thats cake, properly put the gfx on the car and drill the hole.
