82-92 vision styling kit

Anyone ever seen this? http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/firebird8292pics1.html or better yet seen this on a finished car? This is the only non-factory style kit i have found out there that isnt a whole new front end and doesnt cost 1300 bucks. The web site doesnt seem all that clear on what part # goes to which pictured part but I am going to call and find out if anyones interested. I would also be interested to hear if anyone knows of any other sites with similar kits as i havent been able to find any.

thanks

vision styling kit

Just thought I would mention that the quality of showcar fiberglass parts is very poor!!!!!!!!! After 4 months waiting, numerous phone calls I got my wing for the GTA and could not believe the poor quality, poor fit , style lines crooked, mounting bolts do not line up!! I should have bought from someone else. I recommend looking else where as they stated all fiberglass parts need some work before installation. I do body work so I may be able to use the wing but I now have 18 hrs time invested and still not done. Be forewarned. Dave

sorry about the link guys, i couldnt get it to work for myself either... I guess you'll have to do it the old fashioned way and cut/paste or click cayse's link (thanks by the way).

In response to Redbird87, im very sorry to hear that the quality was poor, i've looked at this company before for some parts for a couple of german cars i have but ordered them elsewhere. I really dont want to start next years racing season with an ugly air dam but if its wavy and sloppy its not gonna happen. thanks.

Redraif is right, that kit looks very nice,--good lines, etc. Maybe they had a bad day when they did my spoiler! It is obvious that a great amount of work went into that car!!! My experience may be singular. Dave

No you are right the company has some problems...these guys complained so much about the quality...said it fit horrible...they had to fix every piece to make it fit right...sectioning and the like...siad they would never buy something like that again....totally not worth the effort. Really sux, cause it looks so good!

Do you happen to remember if they said anything about having to fix the mounting brackets? I'm no fiberglass guy but i dont mind a little cutting if the thing will at least bolt onto the car. I wonder if theres any way i can fab up my own in a way that would be more aesthetically pleasing than my current chunk of aluminum. I did find a couple of "universal" spoilers on the JCwhitney site but I havent heard anything about those either...

I hope these ones work this time..

Wow an aftermarket kit that actually looks good! Everything besides the airplane wing looks sweet.

the GFX are from the company listed in the first reply...showcarparts...the link is not good till a few posts down!

You get Frt and Rear Fiberglass bumper covers & the side pieces in Fiberglass as well.

The point of the thread is that the Vision Kit is junk unless you are really willing to put in the effort or shell out the bucks to have a body shop fix it. The fit is total crap. These guys who did the exterior work on this car are body men and said they would never recommend this kit it was made so poorly!

If you are refering to the one in the NOPI post. No it is not. That guy was at the Nats though. He got 3rd, I got 2nd...

I have quite extensive pics of his car. Just have to get them up on a site. Guess I will have to make yet another car domain site with pics!

And Demonbird...they are the only ones who sel this kit as far as I know. They made it...just very poorly!
