What thickness/type of sheet metal for gague cluster?

What thickness/type of sheet metal for gague cluster?
I'm putting together the gague cluster for the Formula this weekend probably, but i need to find the sheet metal i'm gonna use! What i want is something like what the auto-gage gagues i orderd (the set of 3 together) are mounted in....what gague/thickness should i use, where can i get it? Thanks
