Quick steering wheel question...

Hello...

I'm looking at a local 89 Trans Am. It's rad. But I don't liek the crappy steering wheels on the 89's.

Can I use the steering wheel from the '77 style Trans Am's? They are like the racing style with the logo/horn in the center, black metal 3 spokes and a grey trim grip. It would look beast in this car. Any idea if this is do-able? I haven't actually seen the car in person yet, but if it doesn't have an airbag it shouldn't be TOO hard.

Thanks!!

yeah, its possible, if it doesn't have an airbag just pull the old wheel and hub and put the new wheel and hub on to the splined shaft (same spline count, in fact all GMs have the same spline count steering wheel shaft). Just so you know, those wheels were on more than just 77, the entire 2nd Gen run of Trans Ams had that design wheel available (just different pad widths).
