Gauges in center vents

I have an idea to put 2 1/16" gauges in my center vents and angle them towards me. I need to make the housing for the vents slighty bigger. The housing is about 2 1/16". How could I increase the size of the housing? Any suggestions will be helpful.

well, you could try using a dremel. maybe use a 3 gauge panel and fab it up to mate to the vent housing.
