I almost forgot...and not that its a big deal, but I think I'm the only person to have early fender cents on a 91-92 car.

Cause I have had too much bad luck! My other driver...dually..got stolen a year ago. Got another back up car...Pulsar (free) but it had a bad head. Had to replace it. Started on it and then I got fired from my dealership job...blasted new manager... Fired darn near everybody! Came down to him not thinking a female could be a service writer. Well got unemployment for his unresonable discharge of me. Which was a pitance. Took 9 mo to get another job! This one does not pay so hot. So still trying to get back caught up. So everything has been on hold! Esp the big projects like the 82 and Scout. They got put way on the back burner till the dually and pulsar are up and running. Plus the 82s notch was found to be warped and we have a lot of work to do to attempt to salvage it! Man I hope its salvagable! The pulsar is holding us back because the puppy (lab) Joe has decided to sneak in the shop and steal and mess up the bolts for it. Now I have to find time to go the junkyard & take apart another pulsar engine to get all the bolts we can't find!

Fair enough. I guess I just wanted proof you're a real person - with a car like that, you almost immortalize the person and lose sight that they're real.. Would you believe I found your redraif site on cardomain more than a year ago, and it inspired me with my '87? man..

Thats cool to hear. I made the site primarily to help people out...

Well I'm all too real living in the all too real world. The one that never gives you a break even when you are down...

Some other crap i forgot to mention...My stepfather died in Oct in his 50s...fell out of tree and hospital sent him home only diagnosing him with a fractue in his pelvis. well the Dr never touched him and missed a bunch! He had so many fractures in his pelvis that his legs were only attatched by muscle and tendons. He had quite a few broken ribs...and a fracture in his spine... And they sent him home on Moraphine! We had to fight to get him readmitted where all this fluke crap happened and he died about 2 weeks later. We are currently trying to get the autopsy results to see what they found!

Then for Xmas I got a dead tranny in RAIF! Got it fixed adn a fluke thing happened and the convertor slipped out and killed the front pump. So had a nasty tow bill home adn then up to the tranny shop... Then today I dropped mom at the airport...thank goodness I drove her car to work today after dropping her off. Some idiot hit her car in my works parking lot. The thing only hold like 7 cars! Then they left w/o saying a word. Now I have toi call all the customers and see who owns a red car...they left a nice dent and red steak down the side of moms prefect white car! got teh door rear quarter & rear bumper! Called her and the first thing out of her mouth was "please tell me it was not your bird" Now that is a loving Mom!

Wow that sucks. My parents don't really care either way about mine. They will let me take their vehicles somewhere when I am afraid of parking it in a seedy area, but that's about it.

redraif--- ive seen her car on the internet about everywhere. she has the largest car domain site ive ever seen. lots of good ideas, and custom work on her car. ive seen it at several car shows around the southeast. (super chevy, etc....)
while its not what i would do to my 87 firebird, you got to give her credit in all the work she has done to the car.
good luck with the family and living situation. it gets better, just gotta get past the worst.

Thanks!

Well planning on being back @ Super chevy this year too! we should make it a point to meet up. Not often I get to meet someone from here @ local shows! I meet alot of people, but don't always know if I know them from here or not! Nice to put a face to the name!

I just took apart the transmitter, wired up hot (fused) and ground, and then desodered the switch from the board. The new switch is a momentary 1/8" radio shack push button under the dash pad. The transmitter itself is tucked under the dash pad. Not much to see really. Way functional, and no more dead batteries locking the camaro out of her lair.

When is the nest Super Chevy, and will it be at the Atlanta Dragway again? I live like 2 hours from it.
Can some one let me know when the next Super Chevy show is and where? I like to go up and get some ideas for my camaro.

Not sure if this is very orginal, my car also has a Dixie horn.

Edited- to add in something which was forgoten.

Did it work directly off the 12v from the car or did you use some sort of resistor or something?

I could've sworn I already posted. But oh well. It's about the only thing that's done to the car that no one has done before.
One-piece tinted blackout with '85-'90 bubble style tails with the bubble taken off. LED tails too.

Heres the shifter I made after the one on Page 1. I know, its long... it wasn't supposed to be as long as it was, LOL. That **** is a modified T-handle, and the shaft is all new, not a modified stock one like I have on Page 1. Also, notice my mechanical oil pressure and water temp guages, right below the center heat vent. This was right after I got the guages in, and hadn't cleaned up the car yet, so its pretty dirty inside.

For mine it's simple.

Hand made, gold inlayed sailbird on the hood. A liitle smaller than the normal hood bird but I like subtle:

If you like these, they come in many colors and I can easily refer you.

Just sayin',

Beautiful car! Got more pics? Some here don't care for such major changes to a third gen, but to me this looks far better than any of the other body kits available in the US .Too bad they aren't making them anymore.

4th gen 6 spd console custom dyed black, and an slp shift ****.
car is a TH350 automatic.
looks like im in third when its in park, and cruising in 4th when i have it dropped into gear. gotta love those ratchet shifters(has a stock A4 baseplate welded to the shifter, so it bolts in the factory location.

My centers. I made em a few summers ago after getting fed up with the cost of NOS replacements, and have seen a few other homemade sets pop up here since then. Someone must have liked my work

I guess my door sills are original. haven't seen anyone else with them.

Also, I'm the other one that shannon (redraif) mentioned that has the clear front turn signals made out of clear plexi by me.

(All of these are old pictures when my car was mostly stock, but it shows the door sill and clear turns clearly!...my sig is up to date)
I thinks thats all the "original" custom work I can think of.

Oh and P.S.
I heart Shannon and her car.

I have never ever liked tweed before. More than that I have never considered putting that stuff in my trans am.

Untill now. That is a very nice job that you did. I think that if I am not happy with my black panels some time in the future that I will have to try tweed. I always figured it was for the ford ranger crowd, but that really has a nice clean look to it.

Good job.
