i went and stoped by the shop today to put some money on my Z and
my girl took this pic with her phone, so dont mind the ql. anyway hes done the body work but since i live in canada and we have winter it wont be painted untill april, atleast i dont need to worry about storeing it lol.
so far he did all the body work, installed ta vents, intalled electrical fan, he still needs to install the lowering springs though and lil stuff like clear markers,spoiler ect. strange thing is last time i went there he had the car already painted black but with no clear, now its down to this again. im guessing he did that to find mess ups or something anyway enjoy my boreing pic, i know i will lol

 

I wonder if he had it black so he could block sand it and get rid of all the highs and lows... but im just 17 and not a body man so who knows... BTW is that the red car in your sig? The paint looked fine to me

 

Any contrasting color can be applied and then sanded to find the low spots. It's called a guide coat.

Yup the black would of been guide coat I would of took the car to bare metal first tho.

 

ya it is the red car in the sig and the paint was still nice, except it had lil dings and someone in a parking lot put a huge scratch on it. trust me i had to paint the whole thing, and im painting the car black.
