Hatch Lock-out
Hey all, i have an 87 camaro and i cant find the keys for the door locks, so i replaced the 2 door locks with no problem, but now im stuck. i cant get the interior panels off from the hatch area to access the hatch lock mechinism. what is the best way to pop that baby open?

Do you have some pics? If I understand what your asking, you should just be able to unscrew the plastic panel from the back of the trunk. Then you would have full access to the hatch motor and lock. What is stuck, exactly?

stuck just meaning i dont know wht to try next. problem is, that i cant get those panels off from the inside because i have the cover that hinges down in the back and i cant get that off, so i dont have access to the rear most trim pieces ill try to post a pic tommorow

Pop out the hatch light. You should be able to remove the 10mm screw holding on the manual or solenoid hatch release. With that aside you'll see a square hole. Inside is the tab that you'll rotate CCW to pop the hatch.
