Door Lock Question...

I ran a search and couldnt find anything similar to what i need for info. But all of a sudden my door lock on the drivers side isnt held in place anymore. I can pull it right out, of course theres a rod connected, so only so far, but it bothers me and cant figure out how it was held in place to begin with. I am assuming some kind of clip? Anyone know for sure. And if so, does anyone have the piece i am missing to replce it?

Thanks for any info

Do you mean the black/orange plastic slider (lock button)? If so it just snaps in, the plastic gets old and can fall apart. I think I saw the on Hawkes' catalog.

the door lock on the outside is held to the door with a little clip.

the clip itself is probly still inside your door, sitting on the bottom.

take the doorpanel off, and either reuse the clip, or goto a autoparts store, look in the "Help!" section, and get another clip.
