I always loved those in Powermite's car, although he put alot of effort into his, and i don't think he'll be too happy now that the commoners can get our hands on something similar, hehe.
$150 is a fair price for me not having to do that myself, just wish it were a high priority on my car right now so i could get them.

BTW, where were all of these people that say they can get them made for cheaper over the last two years while we were all waiting for someone to make them? Last edited by bnoon; Apr 25, 2005 at 06:28 PM.

I just wanted to commend BNMotorsports on a job well done !
I received a set of four polished trim rings yesterday, and man, these things are well worth it. They arrived packed very well, polished & buffed to a high luster.
Heres some shots of the test fitting.

Has anyone put these in their 82-84 yet? I remember reading that they stick out a bit, but I want to hear from someone who has them. THEN I'll order my set!

The 82-84 will not fit properly because the gauge rings are a bit to thick, hence they stick out. I'll need a measurement from someone before I'd know how much to mill off of the backside for the 82-84 sets.
ACS, PM me and give me your information and I could send you a prototype after you give me measurements or something.

Bnoon, I sent you this in a PM but I'll post it here for anyone else who was wondering.
I went out and measured my guage depth this morning and found they are .5" deep.
There shouldn't be any problem with the diameter of the openings, but I measured that too just incase. I used a caliper and found the opening to be 4.14".

Are you still selling your gauge bezels. I'm putting in either a brushed aluminum or carbon fiber dash in my 15th anniversary 84 TA and would like to buy them if available. PM me

I just sent payment for the last set Bnoon has
. I don't have much money right now but couldn't pass them up knowing they may not be made again.
Cadillac, I LOVE how the trim rings look with the plastic piece painted black. I was planning to paint mine black anyway, but now i'm even more excited about how it'll look.

Has anyone seen Bnoon around lately? I seem to be finding all the cool stuff too late.
I would love to get my hands on a set of these trim rings for my 84 T/A.
Oh well...here's to wishing right?

Re: Aluminum gauge surrounds (like Powermite's)
Nope, sorry. He told me when I ordered my last summer that he wasn't going to have any more made up. He had to do a bunch of them at one time to get a decent price and then was stuck with them when it took so long to sell the last of them.

I really like the look they give. I guess I'm going to have to find some place else to pick them up. Thanks for the info. Last edited by Ozz1967; Apr 19, 2007 at 03:10 PM.

Re: Aluminum gauge surrounds (like Powermite's)
you guys should PM Bnoon and see if he is willing to post up the design for the trim rings. Then anyone can go to a machine shop and have them made up.

I really like the thinner look of cadillac set, and my personal choice would be polished.

the set in this photo looks for my a little thick for my taste..

see what I mean in this photo, is it me or does it look thick?

Camfered on the outside which leads to a 45* bevel on the inside. I LIKE the cut but wouldnt it look better if it was thinner????
Dont get me wrong, I apprecate TPI383 considering making a set for those who want them, I just want feedback from others to get the right look

I actually like the thinner rings better but at this point I'll take any bezel I can get my hands on, be it thick or thin.

No prices, I need to look into materials again since I made the last ones back in 07.
Thanks on the AR15 script. Id post pic's of that too but its not 3rdGen related. Unless you talking about what someone would see if they tried to steal my 3rdgen...lol.

Do you mind PMing me the dimensions of the rings?
I have a buddy who works in a machine shop and would love to make some of these for myself... And if i had the dimensions of them, i could make them out of all sorts of material.. maybe even Acrylic and put LED's behind them to add a little light to the dash.
