Worn out seat cushions - ow
It's mainly the drivers seat, but the passenger seat too. The cushioning is pretty flat and worn out - cover seems to be ok.
Anyone know how or where to find replacement foam cushions for 3rd gen seats? I don't know if this is even a possibliity, why I'm asking.

Don't know where to get replacemaen cushons, but you can buy 1" or 2" foam at any upholstery shop. Simply remove your cover and glue the new foam on. Re-shape it with a turkey carving knife. It's cheap, and you can make the seat more supportive than it was originally. Use good 3M glue or something similar. Any tears in the existing foam, be sure to glue them up. This is what I learned in a trim class at school. Here is my website and my seats I worked on: http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/824645/2 scroll down and you'll see some pics of the seat when it's in the "Foam Reconstruction" stages. The seat is clearly in bad shape, the next pic shows the seat with the foam repair done. It's really not rocket science, glue a chunk of foam with a bunch of overhang. Follow the original shape of the outside of the seat with your turkey carver. It's really up to you how high you want to build up the sides of the seat. Mine was originally flat, I added some bolsters to it to make it more like a bucket seat and the help hold me in the seat better. If you get out of control with building up the sides, the original cover won't fit, but I'm sure your cover has also stretched over time, so you'll be ably to do a little for sure. If you want more pics of the actual foam re-construction, let me know, I have more on my computer.
Good Luck!!

Matt - very helpful. I'll look for some foam and go to work - that seems like it should work for now. In the end, I'll probably pick up a set of 4th gen seats - if I'm lucky, leather - but that's all when the cash flow is a little better......
Anyone else know of a source for replacement foam - just out of curiosity?

I believe some hardware stores have foam. I usually see it in squares or large sheets. It's relatively cheap
