Where is trunk release realy in 92 bird????
I have read in a previous post that i searched that the trunk release is in the center console. I would like to know exactly where it is in the console. Before i going tearing my whole interior apart. when i press the trunk release, it sounds like theres a spring in the dash behind the glove compartment. (it might just be its a spring loaded switch. i dunno i have an 82 TA but there different style switches, so i dont know if thats normal.)
The whole problem i got a 92 bird for free that had no keys, but i made an ignition key and bypassed vats. the lock cylinders in the doors are badly damaged and can not by used to make a key for the doors or trunk. I cant open the hatch for i have no key and the release doesnt seem to work. So please any help would be appreciated.....
Is it possible to order a complete lock set from the dealer or somewhere, such as both doors and trunk?

Don't know if this helps...but on my 1989 bird, the relay was located on the passenger side. BTW.....the parts place said that it was on the driver side according to the computer
...I spent an hour or so looking for the place to plug in a relay seeing that i was installing a hatch release.......But I just removed the panel that was right below the "glove compartment" and it was attached to the wiring under there. I had to look a little, but it was more less easy to find

If you can dig into the wiring that tuns along the driver side door sill, find a black wire in there. There might be more than one (I can't recall offhand) but if you apply battery power to it, it will pop the release relay and allow you to open the hatch.
