Hi,

Can someone please tell me where I can find the paint code location in a 1982 firebird se? One paint company said to look in the spare tire compartment for a GM sticker, and the last line would have a code beginning with U, UA, or WA, but I can't find anything anywhere on the car even remotely resembling that.

I'm looking to match the original se color, I've checked the websites posted here for paint links, but I really haven't seen the chip match yet on any of them.

Also, I know I 've seen SE's in a light green, a tan, and maroon (my color). Were there other colors?

well, my paint code was in the glove box in the rear of the car.

 

it's on the RPO sheet, for our cars, most are located in the rear hatch compartment or under the center console lid. It will have a "WA" then a number.
