Replacing 85MPH gauges with 145MPH Gauges

I was wondering. The 1985 Camaro I will be looking at tomorrow I think has a 85MPH gauge cluster. Can I go to a junkyard and swap a 1986 and newer 140/145mph gauge cluster into the car? I know that the 91/92 camaro's have a different gauge cluster but would the 86 to 89 gauge cluster with a 140/145mph gauge work?
