headliner removal
I'm having a bit of trouble removing my headliner. Articles referring to this as being very easy are full of crap, and when I heard it was either fiberglass, or ABS plastic, I got the idea the fiberglass would be something like plastic, ie. hard, brittle, like the cloth and resin style... NOT like the crap insulating my house, what's up with that????
ahem, anyway, i'd love to hear the secret to removing the seatbelt:

nevermind, I just removed my seats, and unbolted the seatbelt bolt from the floorboards, then ran the belt through the headliner. T50 is the worst idea i've every heard, I had to hammer on the torx bit to get it to seat well enough into the bolt to be able to remove it. Those are being replaced with hex head bolts right away.

Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
Unbolting it like that will only work on the 82's as the 83-up have another retractor mounted on the doorsill. Obviously the retractor won't fit through that small hole, so the later headliners had a slot cut into them going toward the B-pillar and the trim piece that clips into the upper retractor had an extension to cover the cut.
