I'm putting on new weather strip and I got the door panel loose, but it is attached to the black trim piece on top and I can't get it separated from that piece. It has fasteners attached from it to the door panel, and I broke one of the fasteners. how do I get the panel off from here?? Thanks a lot.

 

The door panel and black peice should both be completely removed from the car first. Then you should be able to unscrew the fasteners holding on the door panel. Carefull not to break them. I broke acouple on my door panel and it took me awhile to get it fixed.

 

With the window all the way down pull the trim peice in towards the window and pull up should come right off.
