Anyone on here do any repairs to seat belts? I got a mint physical condition of black seat belts from a late 80s firebird (mint as I mean no scratches or damaged faded belts or plastic) but they dont retract , they were free, so i figured i'd get them in hopes of rebuilding them. I've never done this before anyone who has done it have any tips? thanks!

 

my pass seatbelt was jammed because it was pulled all the way out, there was a small clip on the ratcheting part of the gear, just release that and it should work fine again. after I did it, I had no problem with it after i fixed it.
