H4 Sealed Beam Conversion Kit

I am really thinking about purchasing a set of these for my car. For $50 I was thinking I couldnt go wrong... well... until I met up with another 3rd gen owner today.

He purchased the same lights and the housing below the bulb is basically melting from the heat of the bulbs. The housing is plastic.

Has anyone tried these headlights? If so are you experiencing the same thing? It is definately a quicker alternative to doing my own headlights. But, if this is what is going to happen I'll pass!

Those look much better than the others I saw.

Thanks for the link, I'll be placing an order very soon!

I have a conversion of some sort in my low beam slot. Can't see anything after sunset. I am removing them this weekend, I will look and see what they are and post here...if you want the things you can have them. Only light I have ever encountered that is worse is the one on my Harley.

most housings are rated to 60w bulbs max, if your a waterhead and put 100w bulbs in the housings something bad will happen, hence the warning for a lower wattage bulb. I have eurolite housings and they say 60w max so i run 55/60 bulbs and they're just as bright as my old 90/100 with alot less power consumption

I've got a set of these eurolights I bought from them about a year and a half ago. They were nice and bright, but they sure don't like the Firebird rotating headlight set up from what I can see. Either that or they just get too hot to use when it's raining.

Both of my glass housings cracked with the first three months of using them. They also filled up with water. Had to just throw them away, was real disappointed. Your mileage may vary, of course. Good luck with them!

I have some I bought from Eurolite too, I don't like them all that much.

They are made by 'AutoPal' and seem really cheap to me. The reflector inside is nothing special either.

I think there are better H4 kits out there
