Need advise, hand polishing
Hey guys, I need some help. I have painted my fbird and now its about time to wetsand and polish. This will be my first time to polish a car so I am a little hesitant (yeah and I have painted one) I figured I would start with the old fashion elbow grease so I don’t mess anything up, I have put blood, sweat, and tears into painting it. Literally! Can someone give me a pretty good walk through on the process? I am trying to achieve a mirror shine... I have started the wetsanding process 1500 then 2000. I have managed to dull but smooth my clear, now I need to shine it up! What do I need to buy? Brand of polish concerns me the most, do I need to spend $30+ on a 3m brand or will a cheaper one do me? Any info will help, thanks in advance
PS: I am working with 3 medium to heavy coats of Dupont Cromabase clear.
PSS: here is a quick snap to see my process.

you need a buffer no way will you get a shine by hand.
chekc this
www.autobodystore.com
mikita buffer
sure finish and a wool pad.
go slow and take your time and you will have a great shine. sure finish is very mild and should not burn the paint. set the buffer around 2000 keep the pad wet and work on the car being mindfull fo the edges they tend to buff through fairly quick if not careful.
