For anyone who owns a cowl induction hood, could you tell me if any "screen" is used over the hole near the hood, to help block out leaves, or other unwanted items. I want to open up the back of my RAII hood, and just wondered if this is the route I need to go with.....also how do you keep water out of the engine bay with the cowl?....I would think that you would be getting alot of water on/near the distributor. Thanks in advance.

Yeah, mine does. It's a Harwood. The entire back isn't opened up- just two slots and they have screens.

 

My harwood just has two ovals cut out with some black mesh screen to keep debris out. As for when it rains I have never had water come back into the engine bay. The only thing I did not like was the fit I just can't get the darn thing to line up. It is almost an inch to far back and there is a hube gap at the top of the bumber and where the hood closes.
