Replace Lower Door Hinge Roll and Pin
Anyone replaced the roll and pin on the lower door hinges? This is the roll that goes bad holding the spring loaded lever in place...
I got the GM parts (new roll and new pin) but looked at it and it seems to be tight to be able to remove the pin (not sure how much force it takes) and then put the new roll and pin back on the hinge.
I'd like to do this with the hinge still on the car, should have done this when I had it appart sorting out the upper hinge using the kit from TDS but did not have the parts for doing it at the same time ....
Anyway any help / directions would be appreciated, I can post some picture of the hinge and the new parts if this helps

You have to cut the head of the pin off, with a grinder or something. I had to do the same on my car, and we (me and my dad) had to cut the head off the pin (the side with the X on it) and then pushed it through. And VOILA!

Are we talking about the same thing, as you say support the door are you talking about the lower hinge pin?
Anyway, here's some pictures one of the lower hinge on my car with the roll and pin highligted (the pin is press fit from the top of the roll) as well as a picture of the new GM replacement parts.
