new steering wheel...
hi,
I've just bought a new steering wheel (Grant) to replace of course the original one.. But the original one has an airbag.
So how do we take of the wheel? Do i have to be scared the airbag will open itself? Or what about wires?
Remember that it's necessary to put in the original steering wheel within 3 months..thanks a lot..

1.Disconnect the battery
2.Pull the fuse for the airbag (I can't rember exactly what it is labeled)
3.There are 4 screw on the back side of the steering wheel, take those out.
4.Trace the wires for the air bag down the steering column. There should be a small harness half way down or so. Disconnect it.
5.Use a puller to remove the steering wheel.
I wouldn't worry about the air bag going off. There has to be an electrical pulse to ignite the propelant.

Ok man I will help you out the fast way
1. Get a nice, soft, plush pillow and place it on your head rest.
2. Get a nice big hammer.
3. Get a mean friend.
4. Get him to hit the front of the car as hard as he can.
5. Collect insurance.
5 easy to follow steps lol.
