adjusting hatch

my hatch is way off and body lines dont look right at all and tons of water gets into my trunk how is it as easy to adjust as the hood of the car or is there more involved in it?

It's been a long time but I remember there is some adjustment by loosening the hinge bolts at the front top of the glass. Seems like the holes in the glass are some oversized and the hinges also move where they bolt to the body. Is your rubber stripping still pretty soft? Maybe you need new weatherstripping too. The rear metal panel is bolted and glued to the glass, that's a tough one to get lined up when the glass is already right.

i cant seem to get any adjustment out of it when i loosen any nuts the ones that connect to the body give the most but not hardly enough to make a differance to where i need it...maybe an excuse to buy a notch back? lol

You have to loosen and adjust the rear hatch lid. Most of the time just adjusting the hatch hinges won't work well enough, it didn't for me. Read 1tinindian's and my posts in this thread:
