On my 91 GTA, the areas around the horn button stick out a bit. Not nice and flush like the rest of the air bag. Never realy noticed it till I went to fix the horn buttons yesterday. There is nothing holding it out either, I checked. Damn cheap crappy horn switches. One was broke in 2 pieces and the other in 3. Hopefully some epoxy and a piece of plastic from an oil bottle fixed that. Will know later today.

If you still need a pic, I'll take one for you.

Yes Some pics would be helpful

On the top it does not line up. And on the bottom the air bag is smaller than the steering wheel. SO some pics of the front of the steering wheel. The top and the bottoms T would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for allthe help.

I'm equally interested. Mine looks like the bag went off, and someone just put a new rubber cover on it. Pieces of what looks loke thin white foam is sthcking out on the top right side. Let's see those pic's. C'mon, you all want to show off your cars!

Here is another of how the air bag is sort of deformed around the horn buttons. As you can see it sticks out there but everything else is nice and even.

mine looks EXACTLY the same! Did it shrink? I've been meaning to search on how to tell if the airbag is intact because it could have been removed and sold, those are worth money.

The best I could tell, mine has never been removed till I took it out to fix the horn buttons. I looked at the bolts with a mirrror and they had absolutely no marks on them.

I think it just warped over the years because it is some form of plastic. Most plastic will deform or fatigue or do something strange over time. I hate plastic. Friggen' petro-chemical byproduct garbage. Did I mention I hate plastic? I did. Good.

Actually in the last pic, you can see a bit of the airbag sticking out from it's holder. It's just the way it's folded up and packaged.

I heard a few years ago about fakes available to body shops for a fraction of the price or a real air bag. Not sure if they have been eliminated from the market or not.
