Speedometer Swap!!@@##???
ok, i have searched and searched to no avail. i have an 84 TA with 85mph gage. if i can find one from a similar year with the higher mph gage at the yard can i swap the two. whether just the gage or the whole cluster.
if not what other options are there.

youll have to get one from 82-84 bceause i believe that in 85 they changed to the newer style guages and they were all electronic, yours should be cable driven

huh, thats all good and well but i was figurin i could find one at the junkyard a lot cheaper then 133 bucks if i could just swap it out. but uh ya, in'n i have to go that route eventually i guess i will but thats a pretty steep price imo. thanks for info.

You can always go the 86-newer swap to electric and get the 140 MPH, but that is alittle more involved,(but possible).
It just wasn't the route I wanted to take. My car still has the correct vintage look to the interior, but with an updated speedo face

sounds like i will probably have to go the route you went too then at some point. maybe pick up a spare 85 from the yard to throw in while mine is away for two weeks. thanks
