locks
OK so this is the second time someone's tried breaking into my car via picking the lock- they never got in btw but they screwed up my key hole (and left a couple tiny scratches around the lock itself apparently they're new to breaking into cars
) My key usually wont go farther than 1/2 way in then I either have to mess with it til it'll go in or just unlock the driver's door by using the other door. Oh and IF the key actually goes in it doesnt like coming back out. The best part is my friend who owned the car previous JUST REPLACED THE LOCKS! The locks are ~4mo old and they're already screwed up. Not a happy camper about this.
Any way to fix this? Yeah, even tho I dont want to, I'll be installing an alarm once I get some more $$ Im tired of having to fix everyone else's f***ups.

You can get a single replacement lock cylinder from GM and have it coded to your existing door key. However , it will probably cost more than buying an entire replacement set of locks with keys at an auto parts store.

before spending that kind os money and effort 1st try this......buy a can of never-seize or find lock-cylinder graphite spray and a can of air-duster,the air-duster and graphite spray are the best options, use the air duster in the key-hole followed by graphite spray......run the door key in and out repeatedly......wash,rinse,repeat (there are probably metal shavings in the cylinder, tumbler assembly from the novice-would-be-thief) hopefully these tips will save ya some dough ;-)
