My new door sills

Nothing spectacular but I thought I'd share.

After getting the car repainted a couple months ago I thought I'd give her a little extra something to dress things up. As you all probably know, finding nice door sills for a thirdgen is like finding a celebrity guilty of a major crime - it ain't happening.

But I found some guy on ebay selling diamond plate sills so I contacted him and asked if he could hook me up with either polished or brushed instead (I'm just not a fan of diamond plate stuff). So he sends me a pair of basically plain old stips of polished stainless steel. Next step is to recreate the "Camaro RS" logo and have decals made to put on these stainless strips. I topped it off with a little double stripe, just as a finishing touch. And yes, the stainless strips are just affixed with two rows of 3M tape.

The result is what you see below. It ended up being a bit pricey but what the heck.

I think it looks great but why didn't you nix the original door sills?

The original sills are a one piece setup that wrap over and hold the carpet in place. I couldn't lose those without having to come up with some other way to keep that edge clean.

Yes, that is the original intent, but the area I covered just looked like crap so I decided to do something about it I checked out fitment before hand and I don't have any rubbing issues so I'm perfectly happy with it.

Either way they will throughly scuffed up in no time if your doors sag at all.
Who made you decals? Are they die cut?
