Getting rid of airbag steering wheel
Im sure it was mentioned but want to ask anyways. I have a 91 ta and since the age of the car i would be kinda hesitant if the bag would deploy at all. I have no intention to crash or total my car, But just dont feel safe with the stock airbag.. How hard is it to change to a reg steering wheel, and let me see your steering wheels.

You just have to disconnect the airbag wires in the correct order as per any Haynes book or the owner's manual, then remove the bag, remove the wheel as any wheel, and replace with new wheel of your choice.
I replaced mine with a 4th gen wheel that had airbag as well - more for looks than airbag concerns, as my wheel was looking terrible. I got a newer airbag and nicer looking wheel - you just have to attach the bag wires from the new airbag to the old connector, as the 4th gen bags have a smaller connector than a 3rd gen. Cost me $50 from a guy with a wrecked 4th gen.

I never liked the way the airbag wheel looked, so I swapped it with one off of a 87 Firebird parts car I had. It was a direct swap. The only other thing I did was removed the bulb for the Air Bag light in the cluster.
