Protecting outside welds?

Hey guys, how's this sound to protect outside welds that don't need to be pretty? The welds are a long "chain" of spot welds that I'm not going to bother grinding down; they're underneath the car where nobody can see.

So, I'm thinking I'll spray them with Spray-Galv (zinc galvanizing spray) and then spray them with undercoating.

Sound good? Or, how do you guys do it?

Thanks!!

You could do that or to be sure POR-15 it that always seals bare metal up really nicely.

your idea sounds perfect. just clean the area around the welds (about 1/2''-1'' away from the welds) so the paint can adhere correctly.
