Power Lock Conv/4th Gen. Door Panel Mods

Hello,
I am undertaking 2 mods in one. I am installing power locks in my doors, and I am also putting 4th gen door panels in my car. I removed my 3rd gen panels today, and I was looking at fitting the new 4th gen one on there. But I have ran into a few problems and I have a couple of questions.

On the 4th gen panel, do I need a metal bracket off the 4th gen to actually screw my panel into place? The 3rd gen aemrest bracket isnt fitting up right.

Also, the 3rd gen panel, popped in with the use of the connectors. But the 4th gen panel seems to have slide in clips. Does anyone have a template or an idea of how I should go about making the slide in clip holes in my door?
Thanks,
Han

Well,
I did some searching and found some things, mainly about a gap that i'm going to have between my door panel and door. But i'm still unsure how to mount the door panel.

You'll have to do a 4th gen dash to make it look right, or chop up the 4th gen panels so they fit

Yes,
I am planing to chop the panels. Someone else did it in a post before, and it looked ok to me, so i'm gonna try it.

But, do I need the metal plate so I can screw the door panel into the door?

And, how do I go about fitting the door panel for/to the door?
