Fiberglass parts
I read on a few sites about fiberglass hoods, or wings, or whatever, that they come with a "gel" coating. Is that the white looking paint/coating that's on there that they're talking about? If so, do you have to completly sand that off before painting those parts?
I bought an RS type 4-post aftermarket rear spoiler and it has that white paint/coating on there, but it's cracked and uneven on a few spots.

Yeah the gel coat is the glossy looking white, gray or black color you see on fiberglass parts.
No you don't want to sand it off. Just sand with 180-220 grit paper to dull the gloss
