i can't remember exactly but i think theres just a clip on the back side that you can slide out and swap your old lock in to. I'll look tomorrow when I go back out to my car.

There is a c-clip(horseshoe clip?)that's used to retain the lock.I changed mine out a couple months back.Always thought nice place to put the glovebox..LOL.

awesome...now here's another question...let's say i'm going to replace all my locks, but i can only find sets with 2(doors) or 3(doors plus hatch) locks. how could i get a lock that uses the same key and fits back there?

Go to the dealer.

Preferably when the parts people are having a slow period.

Than ask if they can re-key the lock for you or get the kit out so you can sit there and do it yourself.

Any competent parts person should be able to help you out here, just go when they are slow.

later
