i was all jazzed when i found it out, but when i went outside today i ripped out the insulation and unscrewed the little plates on the hood. hoping to find a hole the size of the plate all i find are the screw holes. what gives with this? anybody have any information that could help me out?

 

I said the same exact thing. What the hell is up with that? Anyway, I decided to just cut the vents out so there is a vent where the plates used to be. Here is a picture.

 

how do you keep water from getting into it when it rains? or do you not have that problem if it's a race only car?...

 

I'm gonna do the same as crazyhawaiian & put some slotted stainless plate over the openings.

 

how would you keep rain from getting inside though?

 

I just never drive mine in the rain. Problem solved.
