Project Formula

Hey everyone,

Its been quite sometime since I've visited and/or posted.

Anyway, to the point. I now have the ability to work on my Formula here in North Carolina. Anyway... I'm starting the teardown and hoppefully the rebuild process.

I have the interior ripped out now and have found LOTS of rust and holes in the body. So here lies the problem. I need to find a comapny/place/business that sells new body panels for the floor, rear quarters, place where the spare was, etc. Anyone know where I can get ahold of those?

I just got myself a cutter, grinder, and a welder is coming. My website is www.formulaproject.com check it out and any and all comments/suggestions/tips will be helpful. Since those pictures I have removed the seatbelts, firewall insulation, wireing harness, and all the black calking around the welds.

Engine, tranny, hood, fenders, and nose are next.

Thanks.

Looks like rust in the common places

I know yearone sells floorpans but youll pay thru the nose for em

Id find a JY car thats not rusted out and cut the floor sections from that

Also look at replacing the carpet with an aftermarket kind even it its still in decent condition

Stock carpet has a rubber coating on the back to keep moisture from comming down, but instead it lets a small amount of moisture get thru but never come out

Yeah, was planning on replacing the carpet along with a lot of other things. One thing I found while I was scouring the net was this site... http://www.autobodyspecialt.com/

It looks like they have a floorpan for not bad of a price.
Tore off the hood, fenders, and nose today... will post those pics hopefully tonight.. starting to make some progress. Anyway, thanks for the reply.

Anyone know of anyother place to get floor panels/etc for these cars? Eventually I will be needing new carpets as well.

Does anyone know of a good company to go through to get replacement fenders, or should I suck up the price and get gen GM fenders?

Still learning and starting to make progress... but finding there is a LOT of things I still need to learn... such is life.
